Celeb Style Watch: The Kate Middleton Style

Just as we hear about the Royal Princess Kate Middleton going into labor, the whole world waits for the happy news! Meanwhile, I decided to give you a glimpse of the various looks adorned by the fashion-forward princess. Kate has been known for her immaculate fashion sense. Graceful outfits with a matched accessories – she has always had the perfect look. Here are some of my favorite “Kate Middleton” looks – 

This is my favorite one! The princess looks absolutely stunning in reds. The red headpiece makes the look even more appealing.

 

Lace dress with her favorite beige pumps – perfectly graceful.

The princess seems to love the blues and knows how to carry them in style. 

In the picture below, she wears a beautiful shimmering pale pink gown paired with a perfectly toned clutch.

The princess gracefully walks down in her Alexander McQueen gown.

Business outfit lessons for all the working women, the royal princess is a great example!

One of my favorite winter looks. Baby blue coat with a intricately printed scarf and a black hat – down right style with perfection.

Even while being pregnant, the princess dresses gracefully in a an analogous peach and nude color combination. Simple elegant.

The royal princess rocks the military fashion as well =)

Flats have always been my favorite footwear. They are simple and comfy; they put the least pressure on your foot – and if they come in a variety of colors and styles, even better!

Runway Files: My favorite looks from Fall 2013

As are all gearing up to stock back up on our fall wardrobe, I thought I’d share a quick post for my favorite fall looks from Paris, Milan, New York, London fashion weeks. They are not in any particular order. Most of them were sooo fab that it was hard to rank them ;P

1. Burberry Prorsum – Definitely one of my fashion collections this year. Sharp, slick line with vibrant fall colors and shimmer – simply awesome!

2. Michael Kors – Nice as sleek designs – some with a nice futuristic touch too! Neon and jewel dresses gave an added appeal to the collection.

3. Christopher Kane – I’ll be honest, this is the collection that totally blew me away. Great experiments with a use of a variety of fabrics, took this collection to a totally different level.

LOTD: Goin’ Wild!

I’ve always felt that experimenting with animal prints is one of the most challenging jobs. They look beautiful yet it takes a totally balanced look to turn the heads around for good. So here I compiled a Look of the Day, inspired from the wild animal prints.

Style Diary: Playing with Prints

With the starting of summer, prints seem to be back in fashion. From floral, animal prints to kaleidoscopic patterns – a lot of experiments have been done. However, carrying a printed dress successfully is not that easy. Most of our celebrity dress blunders or “What Were They Thinking” moments are due to terribly mismatched prints or overly loud and misinterpreted fashion sense.

Wearing prints has its own joys too. One just needs to have the right fashion sense to carry it through. Here are some tips that would help you judge for your self as to whether a print suits you or not.

1. Reflective prints – Ever wondered by Kim Kardashian manages to look sexy as ever in some of her vivid print dresses? Well the secret lies in her reflective print dress choices. Kim Kardashian has a curvy figure. Thus the reflective prints hug her figure  to perfection.

2. Matching Accessories – Another one of the ways to make very intensely patterns dress more presentable is by toning the effect down with simple can sober accessories.

Or, try the opposite – use darker and stronger colored accessories to tone down the intensity of the pattern.

3. Complimentary clothing – Patterned dress can always be worn with another solid color clothing item. It balances the overall effect yet doesn’t let the beautiful prints lose their charm. This lesson can be learnt from Taylor Swift. The vocal princess is a fan of cute and adorable prints and also manages to look beautiful and stunning with them.

THE BIG NO NO’S !

Now we are gonna talk about the BIG No No’s.

1. Getting Lost in Patterns – Don’t let the your print dress overpower you. It purpose is NOT to camouflage you, but to make you stand vibrant and beautifully distinct from others. Here is where Kim Kardashian and Adele lost it >.<

 2. Pattern overload – Complementary clothing doesn’t mean an added pattern overload! It just doesn’t work 😛
